Clarity will come

If I got to hold you, feel your energy
Wrapping me in comfort, the wholesome mystery
Of your mind, of your arms, and of your gentle peace
With the grateful knowledge of your light shining eternally
If I got to hold you in perfect symmetry
Waking to the light of morning shining through my dream
Covering me in kisses as your fingertips caress
Every hill and valley of the landscape we cannot possess
If I got to hold you in the glorious simplicity
Of the recognition that the heart will ever be
Wild in disestablishment, contrary to the binds
Of a marriage blessed by hope, laid vulnerable by time
To all the ingenuity the separate mind can manifest
The certainty of troubles cast within a scene of jest
I recognise that deep within desires that machinate my core
Is the increasing clarity that all I want is more
To feel your gaze upon my writhing, rising certainty
That only far beyond the forms perception seems to see
Is cast the beauty that we choose to recognise and know
As from these forms of humanness we can afford to grow
Nothing will be lost as we traverse evolving realms
Nothing’s here to lose, everything’s part of you as well
The revolution of the mind, its glorious mysteries
Will show you, through direct experience, you are all you need
And the sacrifice that seems to occupy my seeking mind
The disbelief that Godliness will satisfy and never bind
Is quietly, in an instant re-translated to accord
With choosing to become the life that’s opening in my sacred core
So if I got to hold you, as I wholly want to do
Feel your breath upon my neck, your hands exactly where I want you
Such delicious fantasies that weave the dream-spell’s tapestry
Would be alive an instant in my mind within a dream
So all I’ll do, as I don’t know the route that should be known
Is hand all my desires to the one who always shows
The brightest way, the road that takes us back as fast and sure
To peace within the heaven of the love that is his law
I trust in you to guide me and to make all passions true
To take this needing, roaring heart, and turn it back to you
To leave behind the winding paths the troubled mind still wants to know
To wake me from the substitutes I’ve made, to take me home
